Sales Tips
- Most customers reinvest some of their winnings in more scratchcards, so don't feel embarrassed to ask if they want another scratchcard when you pay out a prize.
- Congratulate them on their win or wish them luck
- If someone is buying a Lotto ticket, or a ticket for any of the other draw games, why not ask if they'd like to try a scratchcard?
- People don't just come in just to buy scratchcards; they are often bought with the weekly shop, or a newspaper. This gives you a great opportunity to sell scratchcards to your customers
- Make sure your scratchcard dispenser is in a prime location so that your customers can see it
- Always include a full range of £1, £2 and £5 Scratchcard games - customer like lots of choice
- Check which games have big prizes remaining on Ceefax page 559 and tell your customers
- Make sure you're displaying the new games which are being advertised on the television - they're the ones many customers will ask for
